judy was a runaway
looking for her spark
so she came into the city
and she walked through needle park
with a fire in her eyes
and her words that go unspoken
she had traveled round the world
but she had never been to brooklyn

timmy was a firecracker
always in the trash
he had twenty seven diamonds
in a bucket full of cash
with his finger on the trigger
and his eyes upon the prize
he had never felt the fury
he had never saw the guise
of a little teenage runaway
a wonder in the night
she had ducked behind an alley way
and rocked a ten inch knife

quiet as she steps
silently she waits
underneath the overpass they
can barely hear her say

one for your love
your pleasure
your obsession
and one for your kiss

after midnight, timmy's blood ran cold
judy had a dead demon buried in her soul
she could hear her father screaming from the top of the hill
but killing little creatures could had never quelled the thrill
she was haunted by a memory and plans that she had made
but judy would never hesitate to find another blade

quiet as she steps
silently she waits
underneath the overpass they
can barely hear her say

one for your love
your pleasure
your obsession
and one for your kiss

try and think how many sit
and wished upon this ray of bliss
or hoped that life's last setting sun
was bright enough for everyone
but shadows lie beneath my pen
they visit round the table bends
transcend the thoughts of a labored day
they sit there, pause and then fade
away.
